About this event
T
his month we will visit the Smithsonian American Art Museum to see two exhibits.
This exhibitsheds new light on a beloved body of work by Anna Mary Robertson “Grandma” Moses (1860 – 1961) and examines her legacy in the context of America today.
This moving image installation interweaves period reenactments across five screens to create a vivid picture of nineteenth-century activist, writer, orator, and philosopher Frederick Douglass through critical research, fictional reconstruction, and a marriage of poetic image and sound
All museum visits start at 1:00 pm on the Takoma Metro platform near the elevator.
We will take the first train after 1:00 pm.
Please bring a SmarTrip fare card (or use a credit card).
