Enjoy an hour of songs and stories performed by 42-year Takoma Park resident Joe Uehlein, who has spent his life in the labor movement, the climate movement, and as a singer/songwriter.

Joe has lived at the confluence of art and activism and has a new memoir, Three Roads: Labor, Music, Ecology, published by PM Press.  He served as Secretary-Treasurer of the AFL-CIO’s Industrial Division and as director of the AFL-CIO Center for Strategic Campaigns, and is founder and President of the Labor Network for Sustainability.

Joe is a 60-year member of the American Federation of Musicians and has played in concerts across the country and around the world. During this performance, he will sing songs and tell stories from the trenches of the movements he has served.

There will be refreshments.

This program is free and open to all.  Registration is encouraged.

Village members may request a ride one week in advance at 301-646-2109.
