Trip To Brookside Gardens

Celebrate Spring with a trip to Brookside Gardens.

Enjoy (free of charge) the many themed gardens on this beautiful 50-acre public garden or pay $8 for entrance to the "Wings of Fancy Live Butterfly & Caterpillar Exhibit" in the Conservatory.  There will be time to do both.

Brookside Gardens is situated within Wheaton Regional Park.  Some of the distinct areas are Aquatic Garden, Azalea Garden, Butterfly Garden, Children’s Garden, Rose Garden, Japanese Style Garden, Rain Garden, and the Woodland Walk. The blooms at the end of April will be stunning!

Free bus transportation will be provided by the City of Takoma Park Recreation Department, and will leave from the parking lot behind the Community Center.  If you need a ride to the parking lot, contact the Village at 301-646-2109 or villageoftp@gmail.com a week before the event (Village members only).
Note that the bus can accommodate foldable walkers, and one wheelchair.

Please bring a picnic lunch. Before we leave the park, the bus will take us to a nearby picnic area, where we can eat and share our experiences before leaving the park at 1:30.
