Kennedy Center/Millennium Stage Performance: The Concert Choir of Georgetown University performs the world premiere of the Easter cantata Simon Bore the Cross by African-American composer Margaret Bonds (1913–1972), with words by Langston Hughes. This work, once thought to be lost, is based on the spiritual He Never Said a Mumblin’ Word. Tickets are free. Metro cost is $5.20 round trip with a regular SmarTrip card, $3.50 with a Senior card.
